I would like to mention that my music taste is subjective (so there might be genres you dont like or you dont want to know anything about but hey, this is the internet) and that the description I give about these genres can be wrong because I am not an audiophile neither a DJ
There is like a lot of controversy in places I usually try to find music (reddit, physically,etc) where Electronic music is kind of "odd" because there is no a right word to say. Some call it being h*gh (some of it but not all), others call it nostalgia, others blandless music used for BGM or OST soundtracks in videogames. But the truth, personally, is that this genre is pretty cool. I mean there are ups and downs.
First with the downs
Some sub-genres are literally depressive like breakcore (maybe), others may be way too loud for some like UK hardstyle, frenchcore, speedcore, and others are kind of melancholic like melodic-dubstep and relatives. I think that's all I wanted to say that has bad (probally)
Now with the ups
Some sub-genres are quite energetic like house, which I absolutely love. 130 BPM and close ones, summer vibes, themes like love, fantasy, and others (i dont know what themes house covers lol). EDM is also a nice positive addition to the list (can get complicated to name what's EDM and what's not). There is also Handz-up and Italo-Disco with their drums and nostalgic vibes.
Now with the awkward ones
I believe this category belongs to Kawaii Future Bass (KFB), future house and japanese electronic music because of anime soundtracks, ops,eds, etc.
